Eragon

Eragon was an interesting choice of book for me. I wasn't always into the dragons and mythical fantasies. I thought it just wasn't for me. As I progress further and further into this read, I have found that I am actually enjoying myself. There are  the Ra'zac, elves, Shades, dwarves, Urgals, and of course dragons. Each group of characters has its own personality is attention catching and interesting. The Varden and the Empire are against each other and the last dragon rider believed to be alive, Eragon will soon have to make choice for good or evil, but which is which? Eragon started the story with a character named Brom who has lead him along his journey to kill the Ra'zac that slayed his father. After an encounter with some Urgals, Brom is killed. This story has caught me in its grasp and I don't plan to break free.

It's funny because I don't really like sci-fi/fantasy. I think one of the reasons I don't like this genre is because it's so unrealistic to me & there seems to be no "rules" that authors have to follow. It seems they could literally have anything happen at anytime & it would be possible/feasible. What do you think about this genre? Do you like it? If so, why? Do you understand what I mean about having no constraints? Do you agree with me/disagree. Also, let me know exactly what part you are at. Be more specific in your summary.
